"Practice?! We talkin' 'bout practice, man!"

It seems that sometimes practice for us Chupas means practicing our spicy water drinking skills or our quick wits and sharp tongues on each other. We had a breakthrough last week at practice however with a new (to me, anyway) drill. Our very own mulleted and mustachioed second row brought it up and was actually able to get us to understand it, even if it was only eventually. It is a very simple drill and it works agility, cardio and quick hands...all three things that will improve any rugby team. The drill was also a lot of fun, which is after all probably the main goal of any Chupa! We did not assign any order for who started or went next...peer pressure was great for getting the next person to step-up to the plate and take a lap. We probably did this for about 20 minutes, but, it could go as long as needed/desired.
I've animated it below with the Rugby Slate Animator (check out their link on our About Rugby tab on this site). This one is sure to become a regular drill for us both with an eye on warming up and improving. Now we just need to name it. Maybe Chupa Circle? Maybe Chupa Circle something else...
What say you?
