FAQ
Who can sign-up?
ANYONE! Although we are currently an adult club, we are interested in getting kids involved and interested in the game. Families are welcome at all practices and there is a playground right next to where practices are held.
What is the commitment?
No official commitment is needed, but, practice attendance is highly encouraged. If you have never played the game before, it will be the easiest way to learn it.
What do I need to bring?
You and a friend! Come try it out first and see what you think. Once you decide it is for you (after the first practice), you will want to acquire soccer cleats and a mouth guard.
When are games?
Our next game is scheduled for August 6th at Paradise Valley Park in Casper. There is potential to have a few more games this fall depending on interest from other area teams.
What does it cost?
There is currently no player due structure to be a part of the team. Games and tournaments that you sign-up for may have a player fee.
What kind of experience do I need?
ZERO. Only an interest in rugby is required.
I know rugby is violent and no one wears pads. Am I going to get hurt?
Although there is no way to guarantee safety in anything--let alone a violent sport like rugby--rugby is surprisingly safe. Correct, no one wears pads, but, the game is played accordingly. The rugby tackle is a safer way to tackle than American Football (no spearing, leaving your feet, etc.) and you don't have to worry about getting slashed or cut with a skate like in hockey. After a game or physical contact practice, you will be incredibly sore. Everywhere. But more than likely you will be safe from major injuries.
